The hunting lodge was built in 1884 according to Dimke's design for Antoni Wilhelm, Prince Radziwiłł, and in 1891 passed into the hands of Maria Dorota, the wife of Prince Radziwiłł. In 1905 Maria Radziwiłł expanded the castle, which then served as the Duchess' summer residence. In her will, the Duchess bequeathed the property to Stanisław Wilhelm Radziwiłł, but unfortunately after her death he was unable to take over the property on the territory of the Prussian state due to Stanisław Wilhelm's Russian citizenship. The property was forcibly administered and, after the death of Prince Radziwiłł in 1922, sold to the Silesian Regional Association, who sold part of the property together with the castle to Johan Jackob Bowinckel from Berlin. After 1945 the palace building housed the offices of the state-owned court and from 1958 the Lubuski People's University. In the 1990s the palace was used by the Special Training Center?
