Jupiter Column with Golden GrünGürtel Creature at Tiroler Weiher

The Tiroler Weiher is located in the middle of the Frankfurt city forest near the Frankfurt "Waldstadion" - a gilded green belt animal is enthroned on a pillar at the pond, the symbol of the Frankfurt green belt, which surrounds the city with meadows and fields and in which you can take many beautiful tours can do with the gravel bike.

Made of red Main sandstone, the shaft of the column shows a relief that, based on the ancient tradition, can definitely be called a laurel leaf. In the local context, however, it is also reminiscent of the scales of wild beasts. A perspective that is strengthened by the presence of other green belt animals at the Tyrolean pond: namely the stair animals. All figures were designed and implemented by Andreas Rohrbach.
