If you drive on Kirchstraße in Straupitz towards the exit of the village, you will pass Straupitz Castle and thus immediately reach the junction with the Gurkenradweg. The Gurkenradweg leads over 260 km through the UNESCO Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, past picturesque rivers and romantic villages. The cucumber cycle path, recognizable by its yellow sign with a green cucumber riding a bicycle, can be divided into 8 stages, which can also be ridden in sections.
