Hiking
Once a year, a traditional festival is held at the Nigatsu-do, during which huge bamboo torches are lit and held over the temple balustrade. The burning embers that rain down on the spectators below are said to bring good luck for the coming year. The Japanese are absolutely thrilled about it! ;O)
