This stage exceeded my expectations. It was quite the adventure with bridges and stairs underneath some cliff faces. The walk up and above the tree line took a little while at first, but was worth it.
Cabane Europahutte is rad and so are the staff. It was my favourite hut experience of the trip!

This was a great day. I recovered nicely from my food poisoning the day before.
We had our first views of the Zermatt mountains rounding a corner on the way down.
There was an interesting rock scramble from a recent slide just before the corner.
We later ate delicious rosti's from a cute restaurant on

This was one of the hardest days of my life. It was literal hell.
I got served a severely undercooked hamburger the night before at Restaurant Le Besso in Zinal. I foolishly ate half of it before complaining.

We were in need of some chill time after the previous three intense stages.
Our highlight was stopping at the Pension de
lac Bleu for coffee. The Italian guy running it was quite entertaining and made us some wonderful

We experienced the scariest moment of our entire Haute Route adventure this day. We had a standoff with an incredibly aggressive black bull beside Lake Dix, on the road between rock walls. It was hyper focused on us and threatening charges with its hoof. (I posted a photo of the bull just as we realized
The grand finale. The traditional Europaweg high mountain route was closed this season due to a landslide. We walked down to around Randa and walked up the valley to Zermatt. Still a wonderfully beautiful end to our journey!
The suspension bridge is an engineering marvel. My knees shook a bit walking
