Hiking

The Bornberg is a wooded plateau of the Ohm Mountains. The forest there is something very special due to the old head hornbeams. In earlier times, they were regularly beheaded at a height of 2 m to produce firewood. This forest use has not been common here for more than 60 years. The branches of the hornbeams, which are around 250 to 300 years old, are now long and thick.
