The Westerdam is a 4.2 km long pier that runs almost vertically from the Baron de Maerelaan into the sea, only to bend in a north-easterly direction just before it ends. You can almost walk into the sea via St. George's Way, the second part of Westerdam is not open to the public, but the viewpoint on the Swedish quay is the right place to see the harbor in all its glory and the view of Enjoy Blankenberge.
