We did the two ferry tour. A somewhat long tour, with a few meters in altitude. We started on the north side of the Edersee, took the ferry at Ansel and then hiked on the south side to Bringhausen. From there we just caught the last ferry of the day to cross over to Scheid on the north bank. If you want to do this tour, you should definitely check the ferry times beforehand. They don't go every day and the last one goes in the late afternoon. Otherwise you will be stuck on the wrong bank.
