For the first time, the beautiful old pagan church was first documented in 1244. The chronologically next document of 1369 shows that there was a parish priest in Undeloh and that the church had full parishes. The church became the center of a parish with eight villages: Ollsen, Undeloh, Wehlen, Wesel, the courts Meningen and Thonhof and the forester Heimbuch.

In the wooden bell tower, which stands free next to the church nave, the larger prayer bell comes from the Middle Ages. It was cast in 1490, another smaller bell in 1508. In 1974, the "Christ" bell was added.

Particularly noteworthy is the wooden crucifix, which probably dates from the 13th century and thus is the oldest witness of Christian art in the church Winsen. The altar was built in 1656/57 and was restored in 1985.

The beautiful Romanesque stone church contains two icons, a crucifix and a saint figure from the construction of the church (about 11th century), as well as a pulpit and altar from the Baroque period (about 18 Century).

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Magdalene, a listed building, was first mentioned in 1198. To the west stands the oldest part of the hall church, made of rubble stone and covered with a gable roof of roof tiles and small arched windows.

After the Romanesque choir to the east collapsed, it was rebuilt in 1644 using timber framing and infilled with bricks. Separated to the north stands a square wooden bell cage covered with a pyramidal shingle roof, in which hang three church bells. The oldest bell was cast in 1490, a small bell in 1508, and the youngest bell in 1974.

The interior is spanned by a wood-beamed ceiling. The church furnishings include an altarpiece from 1656 decorated with cartilage and several paintings. The predella depicts the Last Supper, Calvary in the center, John the Baptist and Moses on the sides, and the Entombment and Resurrection above. The pulpit dates from the late 16th century, the four-nail crucifix dates from the mid-14th century, and a statuette of a saint dates from the late 15th century.

The organ, with ten stops distributed over two manuals and a pedalboard, was built by Michael Becker Orgelbau in 1961 and restored in 1989.

Concerts are held here during the summer months.
