Hjarnø Church is the second smallest in Denmark and was built in the 15th century.

In the 19th century, large parts of the church were burned by a lightning strike. Therefore, the pulpit and the altarpiece were created sometime in the 19th century after a major renovation. In the church there is a small Viking ship that was hung up in 1955.
