Tungu á runs down do Lundarreykjadalur which is a very beautifyl Icelandic valley. The water crossing is not that deep so you should be able to cross it easily. But be careful. As always with water crossing in Iceland they can change dependent on how much rain has fallen in the days before.

In the heart of Þingvellir National Park, the Tunguá River cuts through the landscape with clear waters that flow between lava flows and meadows. Crossing it on a mountain bike or on foot is part of the adventure: a place where skill and balance are put to the test. The setting is picture-postcard, with the shimmering current and the echoing mountains surrounding it. Here the route becomes more exciting and reminds you that Icelandic nature always has the last word.
