Small memorial stone to the hurricane Lothar, which left a trail of destruction on the second day of Christmas 1999. About 1 million cubic meters of wood fell victim to hurricane Lothar within a few hours in the Schönbuch Nature Park. No tree species, whether storm-prone spruce, old oaks and beeches, could withstand the hurricane. Younger stands, which according to forestry conviction were storm-proof, were also damaged.
