This hut is very popular for its excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, magnificent views and easily reachable along a dirt road. In winter you can go down comfortably by sled. It is also a crossing point for skiers heading towards the Durakopf. There is also a convenient car park before the start of the dirt road near the last farms, which already takes us up to altitude, thus reducing the difference in altitude.
With the MTB, having arrived at the mountain hut, you can continue towards the Durakopf and reach the panoramic peak with a short stretch of shoulder.

Ideal for a leisurely, pleasant walk in summer or tobogganing in winter.
From here you can easily reach the Dura head within an hour. You can then use this to get to the Lutterkopf via the Brunnerwiesen back to the parking lot.
Another cozy place is about 15min. above the Alm at the summit cross of the Salza.
