Mountain biking
Alfred Wegener's mother came from Zechlinerhütte. Previously, the museum was in the former residential building. By change of ownership, the museum has been set up here, in the old school.

Cycling
After studying in Berlin, he first worked at the Meteorological Observatory in Lindenberg near Beeskow. There he set a world record in 1906 with over 52 hours of balloon flight. After World War I he became Professor of Meteorology and Geophysics in Hamburg and Graz. Alfred Wegener made four trips to the polar region; He died in 1930 on his great Greenland expedition.
