Ffynnon Eidda, which no longer acts as a fountain unfortunately, is a perfect place for cyclists to stop and appreciate the vast surrounding countryside. On the well, it says 'Drink and be thankful' which is an important and memorable message! To reach it, you have to climb from all four directions; from Bala, Blaenau Ffestiniog (and Allt Goch), Ysbyty Ifan and Cwm Penmachno. On a clear day, it is possible to see far; to the sea on the north coast and the sea at Porthmadog.
