Nestled in the quiet Machno Valley, Penmachno is surrounded by wonderful woodland and riverside trails. It is a good base for exploring the wider Snowdonia National Park, with the Snowdon range, the Glyderau and the Carneddau only a short drive away.

There are a number of places to stay in the village, while both the Eagles pub and Penmachno Hall serve food at weekends. There's also a small supermarket store in the village.
