Column from senior attorney and councilor Gottfried Ernst Böhmer / Bemar from Bautzen. It is an extremely valuable monument of Sorbian cultural history, singular importance because only a few monuments with Sorbian inscriptions from the 18th century survive, significant because it comes from a famous Sorbian family that belonged to the bourgeoisie and was later even raised to the nobility.
