"This field in front of the mill gate was once the place of execution for the town of Rehna. In the Middle Ages, the high court was held in the bailiwick building of the monastery, today's courtroom, i.e. decisions about life and death were made.
Trina Kiels, a very pretty young and innocent maid, fell victim to the witch madness and was executed in this field. To commemorate this part of the city's history, this artesian well is dedicated to her.
