If you have left the forest of the Praforst on the bike path to the south and look to Lings, i.e. to the east, then you have this wonderful view, past Sargenzell, over to the mountains of the Soisberger Kuppenrhön.
The Soisberger Kuppenrhön is the north-westerly natural area of the German low mountain range Rhön around the up to 552.9 m high Hessische Kegelspiel, which reaches 629.9 m in the north at the eponymous Soisberg and 718.5 m in the south-east at the Habelberg. It is mostly located in Hesse (Fulda district, north in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district), in the southeast also partly in the Wartburg district in Thuringia.
Only important mountains and elevations are listed below - sorted by height in meters (m) above sea level:
Habelberg (718.5 m), extreme southeast, on the Ulstertal near Tann
Boxberg (685.4 m), southwest of the Habelberg - former inner-German border
Seelesberg (671.5 m), northwest between Habelberg and Boxberg
Rößberg (639.4 m), south, southwest of Ketten
Soisberg (629.9 m), north, northeast of Eiterfeld - with the Soisberg tower
Suhl (571.7 m), southwest, east of Hünfeld - basalt mining
Ulmenstein (549 m), near Mackenzell, with a lake created by basalt mining
Stallberg (552.9 m), center between Hünfeld and Rasdorf - highest mountain of the Hessian bowling game
Rockenstuhl (529 m); South-east, Ulstertal near Motzlar - only to the south-west open ridge between Geisa, Ulster and Apfelbach; Namesake of the former municipality of Rockenstuhl
Dreienberg (527 m), south of Friedewald - northernmost mountain of the Rhön
Landecker Berg (510.9 m), between Soisberg and Landecker Berg
Standorfsberg (386.4 m), Ulstertal west of Buttlar - surrounded by Grüsselbach, Taft and Ulster immediately to the west, north and east; former inner-German border

The Soisberg is the highest mountain in the Soisdorfer Kuppenrhön. As such, the Soisberg is also called the king of Hessian skittles. There is a tower on the mountain from which you have a magnificent all-round view. This tower is also affectionately called the "crown of the Hessian skittles game".
