The treehouse camp is set up at a new location in the Schönau Foundation's forest every four to five years, or dismantled at the previous location beforehand.

During this period, the trees can survive without damage, and the forest recovers fairly quickly from use.

The YMCA offers project work for setting up and dismantling the existing camp.
