The former passenger station of Oberbeisheim, southwest of the town, was on the route of the so-called cannon railway. It consisted of the station and chief building and a station building in the ditch with a signal box. Today the station is in private use. The cannon train was built in the 1870s as part of a strategic military construction project over 800 km in length from Berlin to Metz in France. Oberbeisheim was one of the many stops on the Treysa - Niederhone section.
