Schwendi Chapel "Assumption of Mary"
The Chapel of the Assumption of Mary was inaugurated on October 22, 1953 by Bishop Josephus Meile. The chapel is neither Gothic nor Baroque, it has simply grown out of the conditions of the people and the landscape. It is made of stone and wood. The stone was broken out of the mountain on the spot and the wood was felled in the valley.
