The summit along Forest Road 42 across the Chiricahua Mountains tops out at about 7800ft/ 2350m. In 2017 the views are pretty unobstructed, courtesy of a recent forest fire. This will certainly grow over again, but a turn onto forest road FR42D leads to even more open vistas.

No matter what direction you come from this would be the top of your climb. Onion Saddle offers some beautiful views and is considered a long and challenging climb from both sides.
