I often use this beautiful forest path in summer because it provides shade for 80% of the way.

This route is really highly recommended. And even if it sometimes has a zigzag course, it is a very direct west-east connection through the Speyer Forest.- And the fact that a properly gravelled path is much, much better than a dented asphalt cycle path is a basic cyclist's wisdom.☺️
- By the way, the path is very well maintained by the responsible municipalities.

Have driven the route in whole and in parts several times so far.
The path is really a dream. An orgy of scents, a free bird concert and a super sandy forest floor compacted with fine gravel - this makes the route on my bike like in a Bentley.
Of course there are also passages with a different surface, but their length is negligible.
All variants are offered:
Pure forest path, forest path along the stream, along forest path and through fields.
Lots of benches and shelters are offered.
Now all that is missing is that the asphalt paths with the "root waves" are removed and replaced by a corresponding, compacted fine gravel with sand.
