If you start your hike back right of Rivington hall, following the track trough the field up towards 'hall closes' keep left on to the second track. This will bring you past and over a waterfall bridge with several stages to gaze upon. Continuing along the trail bearing left zigzag your way up you will find a sign for the lake you ve yet to travel 200m or so up the stone stepped path to actually reach the lake it self... But worth every stride!
