Hiking

The Mönchsee or Mönchsweiher is a freely accessible lake and, thanks to its hidden location in the middle of the forest, is particularly quiet. The Mönchsee is a private lake that was originally used as a fish pond. Bathing and fishing are prohibited. From the hiking car park at the edge of the forest near Oberhaid, the hiking trail marked with a “fox” leads directly to the lake and the route around the lake marked with a “wild boar”.
