The nature reserve is located in the south of Kirchlinteln. It is a narrow heather area made of dry sandy heather in which there are several Bronze Age barrows. Coniferous forest borders to the south and fields to the north.

South of Kirchlinteln near the autobahn is the hill grave heath. There are several barrows from the Stone Age and Bronze Age here. The field lies in a beautiful little heather field.
