Dyrham Park is home to an ancient deer park, a 17th-century house and a formal garden. A herd of fallow deer roams freely in the 270 acres of ancient parkland, which boasts a plethora of magnificent trees, breathtaking views, splendid borders, idyllic ponds and a wildflower orchard. The property is in the care of the National Trust.

Dyrham Park is best visited during summer where its gardens are in full show. It is an old manor house and if you enjoy history and buildings, this is a good place to visit.

If you time it right and you are stealthy, you can approach some of the deer around this popular spot. They roam and feed freely in the open and they are fairly used to people, but will soon run off if your movements are sudden or noisy.
