    Hiking

Dyrham Park is home to an ancient deer park, a 17th-century house and a formal garden. A herd of fallow deer roams freely in the 270 acres of ancient parkland, which boasts a plethora of magnificent trees, breathtaking views, splendid borders, idyllic ponds and a wildflower orchard. The property is in the care of the National Trust.

Set amongst 274 acres of parkland and formal gardens, Dyrham Park is a stunning baroque country house. Built for William Blathwaiyt in the 17th and 18th century, the honey-colored mansion remained in the family until 1956. During World War II, it was used to home child evacuees.

Today, Dyrham Park is owned by the National Trust. You can walk its historic corridors, watch deer run across the parklands and enjoy a slice of cake at the cafe.

The house and gardens are open from 10am - 4pm daily. Tickets cost £13 for adults. You can find more information, here: nationaltrust.org.uk/dyrham-park
