In front of the castle there is a pillory with a collar. The collar looks quite modern, so more of a replica. However, the wrought-iron fence with the note PRANGER around it is very nice. From 1399 to 1874, lower jurisdiction was exercised in the Augustusburg office. The gatehouse served as a prison for the Fronfest, which can still be clearly seen from the barred windows.
