A previous church in Uffing was mentioned in a document as early as 808. However, the church of St. Agatha is first recorded in the 12th century and rebuilt in 1480. As early as 1650, it had to be enlarged due to the number of pilgrims. The interior of the church is absolutely worth seeing, because it is splendidly decorated with ceiling frescoes, an altar from the 1770s and a baroque pulpit.

The Catholic parish church of St. Agatha in Uffing am Staffelsee was built in the 15th century in the Gothic style, enlarged in the 17th century and given a Baroque makeover. The church is dedicated to St. Agatha, who was martyred in Catania around 250.
