Hohenwerfen Castle

The bird of prey show offered here is impressive. It ranges from various species of falcons to bearded vultures and golden eagles, which can be seen up close and admired in flight. The view of the castle is particularly attractive from here.

09/12/2022 - First of all, we had excellent weather 😎. We have already booked the tickets online, without any problems 😎. The footpath and guided tour were booked. Nice, comfortable climb that you can enjoy in nature, a tree/wood information trail is also installed here. The tour was great, we had enough time to take a close look at everything. Then we went to the falconry demonstration, impressive, you shouldn't miss it, everything was explained well here too. There is also a nice castle game for the children. We were here for about 4 hours but you need a little more if you want to see everything in detail - e.g. the two special must-visit exhibits...and the falconry exhibit as well.

Great facility that is very well preserved. There is an elevator for people with disabilities. The museum is very informative. Served as a backdrop for several films, e.g. Pediatrician Dr. Fröhlich with Roy Black.
