Steinhübel Viewpoint (318 m)

On a small embankment you can enjoy a wonderful 180 ° panoramic view. From the West Lusatian Mountains via Saxon Switzerland and the Eastern Ore Mountains to the striking Landberg near Tharandt.
A plinth in the middle of the platform provides information about the prospects. A bank invites you to take a break.A small trail runs parallel to the country road through the trees and hedges. He can do a lot of speed. But be careful, this is a hiking trail.On the Steinhübel in the 19th century a pillar of the Royal Saxon triangulation was erected. This made it part of the most precise surveying network in Europe at the time - an engineering masterpiece. Some other of these elevations can be seen from here, e.g. the Keulenberg, Lilienstein, Zschirnstein, Kahleberg etc.
