Haribo-Holding GmbH & Co. KG is a German confectionery group and the largest confectionery manufacturer in Europe. The best-known product is the gummy bears invented by Hans Riegel just two years after the company was founded in 1922 and called Gold Bears to distinguish them from competing products.
In addition to the "Haribo" brand, the company now also owns Maoam and Haribo Chamallows (formerly "Dulcia").
The company headquarters were in the Bonn district of Kessenich until 2018; in May 2018 it was moved to the municipality of Grafschaft in Rhineland-Palatinate. Bonn is still the production site.
