In 1826 there was a major fire and the entire area burned down.
In 1832 the mill was rebuilt and improved under new owner Peter Pech. It has been owned by the Fehrmann family since 1921. Large-scale breadcrumb production has been the central pillar since 1972, and the Rammenau pumpernickel production has been supplied with special grist since 1982 [fehrmann-muehle.de/?page_id=107]
