The "Maokong Station" is the terminus of the "Maokong Gondola". In the immediate vicinity are countless tea rooms and restaurants. Here also start a few beautiful trails through the tea plantations.
Alternatively to the cable car also buses go back to Taipei. Of course it is also possible to walk back (2-3 hours: O)

Gondolas! Convenience store here. Lots of street food stands, restaurants, tea houses and coffee shops around. Great view of Taipei, as well. travel.taipei/en/attraction/details/714
