Dampflok Loop Ramp Through Sulzschneider Forest

On the way from Marktoberdorf to Lechbruck, the steam locomotive tour leads between Steinbach and Freßlesreute on a two-kilometer-long ramp through the Sulzschneider Forest. The gradient is "only" two percent, but that's enough to sap your energy when trying to maintain the speed from the previous flat section. On the other hand, you can let the bike roll along nicely in the opposite direction. If you're riding a well-maintained bike, you'll take the last pedal stroke at Freßlesreute and wait until between Steinbach and Heggen for the next one.

This path is easy to navigate as it's a former railway track. The climb is moderate, and the descent is almost effortless.
