    Hiking

The Luisentempel is a monument in the Alexisbad district of the city of Harzgerode.

The Monopteros was built in 1823 on a rock plateau above the former Hagenrode monastery at a viewpoint along the cliff path between Alexisbad and Mädsprung. The dome is supported by six Ionic columns cast in the Mädsprung ironworks. It was named after Luise von Anhalt Bernburg (1799–1882), a daughter of Duke Alexius Friedrich Christian von Anhalt Bernburg (1767–1831), who had the first spa facilities built in 1810 and gave his name to the health resort Alexisbad.
