Almost 7 km underwater. You don't experience something like that every day. It can be tiring on a bike if you've brought too much luggage. The air inside isn't so good, but it's manageable. You should always have good lighting because there's a lot of traffic in the tunnel.

On the way to the North Cape no path leads past this tunnel. The tunnel is almost 7 km long and goes down to -212m below sea level. The first 3.4 km is about 9% downhill and the last 3.4 km it is again a good 9% uphill. So turn on the lights! Otherwise, do not let the cars and buses stop you and fight your way up. Have fun!

At the lowest point there can be fog. It's pretty fresh in the tunnel at first, but it gets pretty warm uphill. It would be possible to take off a few things in a holding bay. Just behind the tunnel there are public toilets.
