The church is located on a high mound, which originated a few centuries before our era. The mound was largely excavated at the end of the 19th century, especially on the south side. A retaining wall on the side keeps the cemetery and the church from subsidence. The cemetery is separated from the village by an iron gate. The church consists of a nave with a narrow and closed choir on five sides. On the west side is a heavy tower with gable roof crowning. It is striking that the church and tower are almost the same width. The church was originally dedicated to Saint Peter.
