The first German bell hiking trail is an approximately 22 km long circular hiking trail in the Saxon Erzgebirge district. It was inaugurated on April 18, 2015. The bell hiking trail leads through the towns of Deutschneudorf, Brüderwiese, Deutscheeinsiedel, Seiffen, Oberseiffenbach, Oberlochmühle and Deutschkatharinenberg. The name of the trail comes from the 16 stations on the trail that lead past various bells. The properties intended for the bells then and now are different. On the circular route, the hiker encounters prayer, eternity and baptismal bells as well as school, fire, hour, porcelain, art and cottage bells. Some bells have been hung on the side of the path in individual and specially erected bell frames.
