Saint John the Baptist, to whom the Düdinghausen church is dedicated, is, like Saint Joseph, a man standing on the threshold between the Old and New Testaments. His parents are Zechariah and Elizabeth. After the proclamation of the Incarnation through them, the Mother of God visits her relative Elizabeth, who, in her old age, will give birth to a son, John the Baptist. John is six months older than Jesus and is considered his forerunner. He lives in the desert, preaches repentance from sin to the Jewish population, and baptizes them in the Jordan River. Jesus also comes there to be baptized, where he is filled with the Holy Spirit, who descends upon him from heaven.

Most of the residents liked the new look of the church much better than the dark-looking brick building.
Various changes were also made to the interior during the 1960s. In keeping with contemporary tastes, the neo-Gothic style wall and vault paintings were painted over, the side altars and communion bench removed, and the tabernacle, ambo and chandelier added in a modern style. In recent years, to the delight of the Düdinghauser parishioners, these "sins" of the 1960s have been partially reversed.
In the church services of the catholic are regular. Düdinghausen parish celebrated. ... "
