Here you can take a look back to the good old days, when phones still had rotary dials and selfies were still painted with a brush. The Museum Village is like a time machine that takes you into a world full of half-timbered houses, historical craftsmanship and nostalgic knick-knacks.

Immerse yourself in the lives of our ancestors, from the milkwoman who still delivers real milk from the cow to the blacksmith who shapes the glowing iron with his bare hands - or at least with an impressively large hammer.

And don't forget the culinary delights! Try the delicacies from great-grandmother's cookbook or treat yourself to a refreshing glass of mead while listening to the sounds of bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy.

Whether you're a history fanatic or just looking for a good laugh, the Museum Village has something for everyone. So grab your leather trousers or corset and get ready for a journey through time that you won't soon forget!

The museum village is an ensemble of 27 buildings from the period between the 16th and 19th centuries. Most of them come from the district of Uelzen and were rebuilt here to illustrate agricultural life in the Südheide. In addition to guided tours, there are also various events. The facility can be explored on circular paths in a small heather area surrounded by forest. The old Lüneburg Parliament Square is also accessible from here. Entry costs 6 EUR for adults; Children up to 17 years are free. By the way, near the museum village there is also a very idyllic educational forest trail that you should definitely walk through.
