    In the Geopark Center Groß-Ziethen you will be guided through the ice age events of the region with a wonderful exhibition. For children, the Ice Age is tangible and if you step through the gate and keep your eyes open, you can recognize the individual stages. The nature trail leads along here and provides a very good background with the help of boards and superstructures.

      In Groß-Ziethen, in the historic steam mill, you can experience something! Experience the Ice Age and hike through the Buchenwald Grumsin World Natural Heritage. The starting point of a tour is the "Geopark". On three floors of exhibition space, you can experience the emergence of the landscape and the surrounding nature in the visitor and information center on the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Buchenwald Grumsin. With models, interactive technology and vivid explanations, the exhibition offers the opportunity to experience the ice age. You can then hike through the entrance gate into the core area of the Geopark, past the life-sized Mammut Georg, directly into the Buchenwald Grumsin World Natural Heritage site and / or to the Sparrowhouses and Ihlowberge adventure sites. All paths are well signposted and offer insightful experiences using information boards and installations. There are several guided tours through the forest, especially on weekends.
      Addition to the opening times: From 01.11. until March 31 the opening of the Geopark Groß Ziethen visitor and information center is only possible with advance notice (groups).
