Raised high, the harbor master looks over the Steinhuder Meer, observes the boat traffic and welcomes the incoming boats. He also has eye contact with his colleague, who looks over from Wilhelmstein and greets the guests of the island fortress at the jetty.
The sculpture was erected by the Steinhuder Meer Tourist Association in August 2019.
