Hochufer Widdig

South of Urfeld, the path along the Rhine climbs up to the high bank. From the concise animal enclosure with the curious goats to the balcony near Widdig, the path is only gravel, but it is still easy to drive on with a racing bike, so that you don't necessarily have to go down the village street.

You are a bit elevated (high bank😋). Nice view to both sides of the Rhine. There is enough seating. In the back is an apple plantation. You can pick an apple for a small fee. Delicious.

If you don't like gravel - the path is short. You're back on asphalt in no time.

Coming from Bonn, you have to climb the small hump up the hill with a bit of momentum.
Here it is a short stretch on gravel and then the hump down again on asphalt. Very nice view.

There are sheep here. These specimens are fenced in, so despite the inviting looks, they are not allowed to be taken home.
