The old town hall in Burgholzhausen is a beautiful half-timbered house and also housed the school. It was built in 1605.

In addition to the school, the Old Town Hall also had a courtroom, and it was here that the first and only public execution took place on the village square in front of the town hall: Konrad Wagner, who was imprisoned in the town hall, was sentenced to death in a court hearing. In 1712, Baron von Ingelheim converted the town hall into a Catholic worship space, which was used as such until 1718, when the Catholic church was completed.
