The quarry in the Ober-Rosbacher Stadtwald has already been shut down around 1990. Nature has recaptured the great pit. This is how a lake with small islands developed. At the top of the pit is this lookout with a fascinating view, in clear weather far beyond Frankfurt. From here also leads a way to Kapersburg.
