The post beacon is inconspicuous and only slightly elevated on the edge of the salt marshes. The path leads a few meters past it. Thanks to the numerous rabbits, the ground around the beacon is like Swiss cheese - be careful where you put your foot!

The post beacon is often confused with the beacon on the Möwendüne, which is a little further to the east. I stick to the information in Wikipedia (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Baken_auf_den_Ostfriesischen_Inseln) and other sources, while the Norderney website presents this differently (norderney-tour.de island/postbake.html).
