Small, beautiful chapel that is being redesigned! Currently closed, but a nice helper opened up to us and told us something about the history and the current construction work! It should be open again from Ascension Day!

The Hollar Church was built on the base of the old village church between 1722 and 1726.

Hollar used to be a neighboring village to Ockstadt and fell into disrepair after the Thirty Years' War.
Today the chapel is often used for baptisms and weddings, on Ascension Day there is a procession from St. James' Church in Ockstadt, and on Pentecost a Protestant service takes place here.
