Marcus Röhling Schmiede - nice people, delicious food, pure nature
February 17, 2019
The Markus Röhling mining smithy, the hut house and the horse sledge at the Markus Röhling Treibeschacht are in an idyllic location directly on the mining trail.
The hut house was first built on this site in 1768. The mining smithy was built in 1773 and was expanded in 1785 with a horse sledge. In 1857 the mine was closed down and the horse sledge was later demolished.
The area has been run by the “Markus Röhling Treibeschacht” association since 1999. Hikers and day tourists can enjoy a good drink and a meal on weekends (during the week by appointment) and visit the horse sledge newly built in 2000 and exhibitions.
